I have for as long as I have been digging for records, plastered and decorated my “lab” walls with these vixens. From Herb Alpert’s Whipped Cream and Other Delights, to Martin Denny’s Exotic Sounds beauty, Sandy Warner. These ladies have brought me a ton of inspiration over the years, that I figured it was about time, and only right, to show a little love back their way!
Even though all the sounds you hear on this record came from records in the first place, the entire process of getting these beats on wax took about 3 years. I’ve been blessed enough to have my music featured on various other vinyl releases, but this was my FIRST run at pressing a project on my own. Independent all the way, for the love, all out the pocket, but with support from a select few that I couldn’t have done this without (BRIX, Gracie, Sentric, Mamoosh, CocoDee…I love yous!). It is truly a dream come true and a amazing feeling to see what was first just a vision, form of thought, or idea, come to life!
