The Road Warriors (dr.oop and Nucleus) – Alive and…Well? by BLACKLOVEMUSIC

“All a musician can do is get closer to the sources of nature, and so feel
that he is in communication with the natural laws.” – John Coltrane

With those words in mind, lend your ears to the adventures of THE ROAD WARRIORS! Dr. Oop & Nucleus w/ production from EarDr.Umz and features friends including Tonye Aganaba & Homesick.

This audio travelogue entitled “Alive &…Well?”  was recorded on the road during a recent summer 2010 tour, and serves as a bLAckLove-letter to the beautiful scenery, people, and experience of British Columbia.

The spot was packed & jumping, the dance floor felt like a trampoline!

It was a beautiful scene!

One of the funnest nights I’ve had playing music…so far.

This 60 minute mix is just a small dose of what you might have heard from me that beautiful evening.

Enjoy!

Instrumental Albums Dont Equal FREE BEATS

http://kevinnottingham.com/2009/12/20/instrumental-albums-are-not-free-beats/

Being thru this same scenario recently with some clown who got a hold of a beat tape of mine via the “grapevine”, I can painfully relate. Reading this article just struck a chord with me & brought back the frustration!

so…

ATTN: EMCEE’S:

I appreciate the fact that you may be inspired upon listening to a certain beat, so if you want to collaborate with any hint of mutual artist respect, just give a SHOUT! thats all you gotta do!…don’t be a snake & just snatch beats from people who have taken YEARS on their CRAFT. This shit doesn’t just fall outta the sky, we (or at least some of us! ;) )  DIG DEEP, put in massive amounts of work to create these sounds for the masses to enjoy.

If you from the town of Seattle (but even if you’re not) & the project is something I can feel, I will more than likely get down with you for very little charge, I ain”t no greedy crook, but then again I need record/diggin’ money too!

PEACE!
